Dr. Albert Ruiz, an expert in biofilms, antimicrobials and hydrolytic enzymes, has recently joined BAMBBI as postdoctoral researcher.
The third edition of the ranking of female researchers from Spanish and International institutions prepared by the CSIC highlights three BAMBBI researchers (Maria-Pau Ginebra, Montserrat Espanyol and Maria Godoy-Gallardo). The ranking includes all Spanish women scientists who have an H index equal to, or higher than, 18.
Postdoc Fellow Jan Grzelak presented his latest results on the antimicrobial calcium phosphate nanotopographies developed within the BAMBBI project and won the Young Scientist Award at the 34th Conference and Annual Meeting of the International Society for Ceramics in Medicine (Bioceramics 34).
Postdoctoral fellow Jan Grzelak is in Bristol for a short research stay at the microbiology laboratories of Bristol Dental School, under the supervision of Professor Bo Su and Dr Angela H Nobbs.
Postdoctoral researcher Ji-Young Yoon joins the BAMBBI team as an expert in biology. With a backgound in bone regeneration and tissue engineering, she received her B.Sc. in Biology from Chungbuk National University (South Korea), and later completed both her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Tissue Regeneration Engineering at Dankook University (South Korea).
Arezoo Ashrafnia has recently joined BAMBBI as a PhD student to work on bio-inspired antimicrobial bone bioceramics.
Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra offered a Keynote Address with the title "Advances in Bioceramic Design: Bridging Nature and Technology in Bone Regeneration" during the 2025 IADR/PER General Session & Exhibition.
Roberto Fagotto-Clavijo, Irene Lodoso-Torrecilla, Anna Diez-Escudero and Maria-Pau Ginebra have published a review article in Biomactive Materials on Strategic advances in Vat Photopolymerization for 3D printing of calcium phosphate-based bone scaffolds.
