Arezoo Ahrafnia joins BAMBBI as a PhD student

Arezoo Ashrafnia has recently joined BAMBBI as a PhD student to work under the supervision of Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra and Dr. Jan Grzelak.

Arezoo, with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (Semnan University, Iran) and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering (Sharif University of Technology, Iran), has a background working with bioactive glass and bioceramics and expertise in the characterization of material properties and cell-material interactions.

She will be working on her PhD thesis on "Bio-inspired AntiMicrobial Bone Bioceramics: Deciphering contact-based biocidal mechanisms".
