BAMBBI's researchers Judit Buxadera, Jan Grzelak, Carla Arca and Mar Iglesias have returned to ALBA Synchrotron for another round of experiments, which took place from the 17th to the 19th of september, 2023.
According to PhD student Marc Iglesias, "Our research journey at the ALBA Synchrotron has been nothing short of remarkable. Guided by Dr. Ana Joaquina Pérez Berna, scientist at the soft x-ray microscopy MISTRAL beamline, we've delved into the microscopic world, using a cutting-edge taylormade code called Spectrotomo".
The team ventured into the microscopic realms of bacteria, acquiring 3D images, known as tomographies, at various energy levels in order to unveil the hidden secrets of calcium distribution within these tiny organisms.
