Meritxell Sánchez, new Microbiology Laboratory Manager

Meritxell Sánchez Hervás joined BAMBBI at the beginning of February as the new Manager of the Microbiology Laboratory.

Meritxell has more than 15 years of experience as Lab Managerm with broad experience in different fields, such as
microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry and cell culture.

She is an expert in techniques such as RT-PCR, ChIP-qPCR, Immunoassays, cloning and sequencing (Sanger) and has mastered microbiological culture, strain isolation, characterization and identification. She can also perform protein techniques, such as Western Blots, protein expression, purification and cell culture assays.

As a Laboratory Technician, she will be in charge of the organization of the laboratories materials, reagents and aliquots as well as administration of BAMBBI laboratories and databases (reagents, primers, cell lines, antibodies, etc.)
