Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra has ranked in position 128 in the second edition of the ranking of the most outstanding female scientists, recently published by CSIC. The ranking ranks women scientists who have an h-index equal to or greater than 18.

On May 23rd, the Consejo Superior d eInvestigaciones Científicas (CSIC) published the second edition of the Ranking of Spanish and foreign female researchers working in Spain, according to public data from Google Scholar.

The ranking ranks women researchers first by their h-index (a measure that takes into account the quantity and quality of citations their scientific articles have received) and, second, by the number of citations they have received. To be included in the ranking, researchers must have an h-index of at least 18.

Prof. Maria Pau Ginebra has been ranked in position 128 (best ranked for UPC), out of the 8,068 female researchers listed in the ranking.

The aim of the ranking is to increase the visibility of the work carried out by women researchers, and it is part of the policies of commitment to gender equality of the CSIC, the institution to which belongs the Cybermetrics Lab, which has drawn up the ranking.
