Dr. Renan Nunes joins BAMBBI as Visiting Researcher

Dr.  Renan Nunes is a Visiting Researcher in our laboratories, thank to funding offered by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).

Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the BioNanos&Metals group at  the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) in Brazil, since the beginning of his career, he has worked at the interface of chemistry, materials science, and biomedical engineering, focusing on nanomaterials, biomaterials, and nitric oxide–releasing platforms. His experience includes the development of various types of nanoparticles, as well as composites, hydrogels, and films for biomedical and agricultural applications.

During the next year, he will be mainly working on the functionalization of 3D-printed calcium phosphate scaffolds with nitric oxide–releasing materials and other biologically active nanoparticles, aiming to enhance bone regeneration and provide antimicrobial protection.
