BAMBBI Team Joins the IX BBT Annual Meeting
Feb 05, 2026
The BAMBBI project researchers have recently participated in the IX BBT Annual Meeting. The day-long event focused on celebrating a year of high productivity, optimizing lab management, and fostering team spirit through the legendary—and highly contested—BBT Trivia Tournament.
Innovation is fueled by collaboration. This is why last Thursday, the BAMBBI project team in full, alongside their colleagues at the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering (BBT) group, participated in the IX BBT Annual Meeting, a day dedicated to reflection, coordination, and community.
With 51 members in attendance, the meeting represented nearly the entire BBT collective. For the BAMBBI team, this annual gathering is a vital milestone in the research calendar. It provides a rare opportunity to zoom out from the laboratory and look at the "big picture" of their impact within the broader scientific landscape.
The morning sessions were dedicated to the group's trajectory over the last year, focusing on reviewing a year of high productivity and successful project developments, sharing updates on both public and private-funded research to ensure the exchange of ideas and information between different lab wings and open discussions on lab optimization and management.
The evening sesssion, however, included the traditional BBT Tournament, a high-energy trivia battle that tested the group’s knowledge of everything from scientific facto to BBT history, pop culture and art.
